Arctis-Mon is a huge mountain in the northern kingdom of Torslowe, upon which Castle Crowhaven was built during the Plague by one of the first of the Ruthven dynasty. Besides the castle, it is most well known as the resting place of countless lords, kings, warriors, and other noteable figures who lived in the north throughout history. The tombs of Arctis-Mon are ancient, spanning back thousands of years, and even before the formation of the Avylonian Empire. Torslowe's rulers only make up a small portion of the dead within the expansive crypts, and the building of Castle Crowhaven over the old tombs was seen as an abomination and an affront by many northern factions. Torslowe has seen much war simply over this fact.
Arctis-Mon is a tall mountain surrounded on all sides save its southern face by smaller formations. The crypts within it expand through the mountain and surrounding range, holding countless thousands of dead.
