Courser Etras is a tall, well traveled man with a head of simple, lusterless brown hair, and sunken eyes. Courser prefers to wear whatever is at the time most comfortable, he has been seen in leathers, robes, and even iron armor from time to time. His most astonishing feature however is the mummified corpse strapped to his back, that he is never seen without.
History[]
Courser and Alliat Etras were two brothers growing up in Blackbar, a small area east of the Polis Academia famous for its herbs and other white mage reagents. Courser and Alliat were growing up to be powerful white mages, performing high level spells from a very young age, both of them quickly gaining a great deal of skill.
The two were inseparable, far more powerful together than they would possibly have been apart. A simultaneous unspoken agreement to help one another and a rivalry driving them further propelled them miles ahead of even Academia students. The Academia began taking a look at the two, and found a great deal of interest watching them grow.
However their interest was severed suddenly when a bandit raid claimed the life of Alliat Etras, leaving Courser on his own. A simple slit throat had ended his brothers life right in front of him. Courser had been almost completely shattered. When Alliat was buried, Courser hadn't arrived to the funeral.
He had been preparing his movement to dig up the corpse. He stole, and dessicated his brothers corpse, using a set of herbs to treat the bandages he wrapped him in to keep it completely ready to channel magic. Courser vowed to find the ancient ritual of The Circle of Ebaram, a spell that would indefinitely raise a human within a confined area. The Circle would be what brought his brother back to the level he had been at before, Courser now occupies himself with gathering the necessary reagents.
Courser now carries Alliat's mummified corpse, using it to channel cold magic through whenever he finds himself in a suitably dangerous situation. His brother has proved a powerful weapon in the quest to give the man his life back.
