Outsiders are the multitude of failed, rejected, and forgotten experiments of the Guild. Mutated and often feral, they populate the allegedly barren Outer Worlds. Currently, the majority of Outsiders have been subjugated by the Angelus.
History[]
Over the millennium of the Guild's existence, countless artificial lifeforms created by the Alchemist Lords have resulted in failure or simply been rejected as unsuitable. Some of the Guild's creations were highly dangerous or more intelligent than intended, and as subjects escaped or the Guild lost control entire planets and systems would be lost to virulent outbreaks or rampant monstrosities. Steadily the worlds originally populated by humanity were abandoned due to this, the center of Civilization moving further outward towards what was originally Earth's most distant colonies.
The original central worlds of humanity were eventually completely abandoned, either stripped of resources or made uninhabitable by the experiments of the Guild. These worlds became a dumping ground for the Guild's failed creations, those they no longer desired or bore genetic defects were sent to the newly dubbed "Outer Worlds," and the Guild proclaimed these lost planets barren and empty so that none would stumble upon the truth. Over the course of centuries, the mutated and feral residents of the Outer Worlds evolved at unnatural rates within the harsh environments they had been left in. These would eventually become known as the Outsiders, and in order to hide the truth the Guild convinced the Confederation that the Outsiders were actually a foreign alien menace with no connection to humanity.
Notable conflicts involving the Outsiders were the First and Second Outsider Wars, which would ultimately lead to the collapse of Guild authority over the Confederation.
Most recently, the majority of Outsiders now serve the powerful entity known as the Angelus, who was once the human Guild warrior known as Terra Vandheer.
Biology[]
Like Kindred, Outsiders have no universal biology or characteristics, but are generally far more monstrous, deformed, mutated, and crazy than anything you would see in the Frontiers or in the Confederation.
