Elemental plane

The elemental planes are twelve planes, each corresponding to an element, that surround Panoulis. Each of the planes is a reflection of Panoulis, twisted by the element associated with the plane. This twisting also affects Panoulis itself in an area near where the plane joins it, and this area is called a tincture. These tinctures are known to be rich in the metals associated with the element, and in some cases, the only source of that element.

List of elemental planes

The Planes of Earth, Cold, and Lightning adjoin Panoulis from the southwestern region, and their tinctures form the Titanic Mountains.

The Plane of Water connects to Panoulis from the south, and its tincture forms the Fahldenn ocean.

The Plane of Fire connects to Panoulis from the southeast, and its tincture forms the Burning Desert.

The Planes of Light and Death connect to Panoulis from the east, and their tinctures form the Ironshield Mountains and the Ironwood, respectively.

The Plane of Life connects to Panoulis in the northeast, and its tincture forms the Fae Forest.

The Plane of Air connects to Panoulis in the north, and its tincture forms the Windswept Plains.

The Plane of Shadow connects to Panoulis in the northwest, and its tincture forms The Wastes.

The Plane of Æther is located far above Panoulis in the sky and is home to the celestial bodies, while the Plane of Void is located below Panoulis. Neither is easily accessible, and so much less is known about them than is known about the other planes.

The plane of Æther has no known tincture, so meteorites with a high composition of nentinine supply nearly all of Panoulis' nentinine. The plane of Void, however, has its tincture in the far depths of Panoulis, the only place where chiccus can be mined.
