Giants are a race hailing from the Titanic Mountains, who live a generally peaceful existence alongside the Elves and Dwarves. They are known first and foremost for their great size, but also for their equally great strength.

Appearance and physiology[]

Giants are aptly named, for they are a race related to Humans but are far larger. Even the smallest of Giants are twice as tall as the average Human, and many are thrice as tall or taller. Further, Giants are bulky and muscular, and their musculature is arranged to maximize strength, though at the cost of fine dexterity. They are known not inaccurately to be rather unintelligent, and most struggle even to learn to speak the Human language properly. Giants bear exaggerated human features, and tend to have pronounced forehead ridges, big, squat noses, and small, beady eyes. Their arms are a bit longer and thicker proportionally, as are their shoulders; their legs are comparatively short and ill-suited to running but instead favor a characteristic lumbering walk.

History[]

The Giants were part of the force that invaded Avylon and established the Avylonian Empire. They were instrumental for their role as powerful footsoldiers, as they allowed the modest invasion army to conquer the entirety of the region.

Culture[]

Most Giants are relatively peaceful, contrary to what most Humans think of them. Even so, Giants have great respect for those who can demonstrate their strength, but frown upon the likes of duelists and assassins. Giants have little respect for or understanding of magic, though many Giants know at least a little occult or divine magic, which they pass down to their children.

They generally eat a diet consisting almost entirely of meat and tend not to enjoy eating grains, fruits, or vegetables. Giants greatly enjoy drinking, although it takes a truly impressive quantity of alcohol to get a Giant drunk.
