Notoriety |
Lucian Bathory is a nobleman from Torslowe. He hails from a long line of alchemists, and despite the obscurity his country has seen since the death of Friedrick Von Ruthven he has a rabid desire to see the return of Torslowe's glory days. To this end he seeks the Stone of the Crimson Moon, a fabled artifact said to be the source of the late king Ruthven's sorcerous powers. Masquerading as a wealthy merchant, Lucian left his country to travel the world and find the Crimson Moon as well as other relics of power so that he can become the next king of Torslowe and return it to its former state of power.
Personality[]
Cunning and manipulative, Lucian potrays himself as a well-mannered and charming man in order to lower people's guard. Harboring an almost childish sense of adventure, Lucian is obsessed with the lore and secrets of the world and anything relating to worldly knowledge or treasure is of great interest to him. While his eccentric and slightly flamboyant nature sets him apart, he is adept at dealing with others and has a special knack for bribery and manipulation. Lucian could be considered to have two natures; that of the charming merchant with the curious nature and sense of adventure, and that of the manipulative and ruthless count who will stop at nothing to gain the power he desires. Above all Lucian desires the power to bring his ruined kingdom back to its former state of glory, and establish his own bloodline as the North's most dominant power.
