The Plane of Fire is one of the elemental planes. Its tincture of Panoulis forms the Burning Desert.
Geography[]
As an elemental plane, the Plane of Fire is a reflection of Panoulis. It is flipped vertically, such that its reflection of the Fahldenn ocean lies on its north side. The plane's water levels are significantly lower than those of Panoulis, and areas in Panoulis that are wastelands are in the Plane of Fire vast fields of lava. Mountain ranges are dotted with volcanos.
Most of the plane has a desertlike environment, but it is hotter and drier than any of the deserts in Panoulis. Certain areas of the plane are so hot and dry that not even the hardiest of creatures are capable of surviving there, and travelers moving through the Plane are well advised to avoid these areas.
Notable locations[]
The Plane of Fire is especially notable for its Rubir Academia, one of the five academies of magic. It is also home to the Temple of Fire, which stands where the Polis Academia stands in Panoulis.
