Stygal is the an old god associated with death and murder. He is commonly known by the epithet "the bringer of death". His star is the Winter Star, which rises low on the horizon, and only during the deepest parts of winter, a period during which Polis Academia scholars such as Nurn the Ancient have claimed there is a significant increase in violent crime. Stygal is associated with various death cults and orders of assassins throughout Panoulis, the most well known of which were the Void Legion who operated during the Plague, and who referred to Stygal as "the herald of the void."
