Verunia is one of the nine Demiurges. It is said that each day, Verunia places the sun in the sky so that all living things may enjoy its warmth. She is seen as infinitely wise, and is often associated with libraries, places of learning, and flame. Her temple rests in the Burning Desert. Many of her devout followers make the pilgrimage to her temple, seeking eternal wisdom. These followers are mostly ridiculed, since they are typically older humans who've no inhibitions about venturing into the Burning Desert alone regardless of the foes they may encounter; they are often seen as foolish. It is rumored, however, that those who make it to the Temple of the Sun Goddess are rewarded in some way.
